Research Overview

Nowadays, membrane technology is widely used for raw/waste water treatment, desalination of sea water and other separation process via sorts of forms such as hollow fiber membrane and reverse osmosis membrane. Furthermore, with catalytic function added the materials and structuring of current membrane reached a certain high level. Not only water treatment but also gas separation like CO2 and H2 is gradually becoming another key industrial application of membrane.

Here in our membrane engineering group, we conduct kinds of advanced research on membrane mainly for water treatment and gas separation. You are very welcome to go through the list and overview below for the details of what we are doing now.

  1. Effect of the membrane structure on the fouling behavior of the hollow fiber membranes prepared from different kinds of polymers

  2. Antifouling

  3. Membrane Separation Process

  4. Molecular Dynamics Studies For Polymer Membrane-Foulant Interaction

  5. Numerical studies on structure formation of porous polymer membrane and permeation behavior of dispersion through pores

  6. Mechanism of membrane fouling reduction by fine bubble

  7. Research on Forward Osmosis Membrane Process for energy conservation, energy generation and wastewater treatment

  8. Development of a novel facilitated transport membrane for gas separation

  9. Self-Assembly Fabrication of New Structural Water Treatment Membrane
