Dr. Akihiko TSUDA was born in Osaka, Japan.
He received his BS degree in Organic Chemistry from Shinshu University in 1997, and then received MS degree in Supramolecular Chemistry from Osaka University in 1999. He obtained his PhD in Organic Chemistry under the direction of Professor Atsuhiro Osuka from Kyoto University in 2002.
He then began an academic career at Aida Laboratory in the University of Tokyo as an assistant professor. In 2008, he was promoted to an independent Associate Professor of Kobe University.
He has also been a visiting associate professor in Shiga University of Medical Science since 2017 and a visiting professor in Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Inner Mongolia Medical University in China since 2018.
His research interests include (1) Organic Chemistry, (2) Polymer Chemistry, (3) Halogen Chemistry, and (3) Photochemistry.
