Our laboratory studies ecology and environmental physiology in a broad sense, including human activities. We take a comprehensive approach that combines new technologies such as environmental DNA with animal physiology and related methods. Our main research fields include rivers and reservoirs in Hyogo Prefecture, the Lake Biwa, Maizuru Bay, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Kenya.

However, for the MEXT University Recommendation scholarship, we only consider applicants from institutions or faculties that have an official agreement with Kobe University or the Graduate School of Human Development and Environment, Kobe University.
Therefore, before contacting me, please confirm whether your university or faculty has such an agreement with Kobe University or our Graduate School.
If your institution is eligible, please clearly state this in your email when you contact us.

However, our laboratory currently does not have funding available to support new postdoctoral researchers.
