The Mitsunuma Laboratory explores new organic reactions, functional molecules and materials, and life-like molecular functions through the design and construction of molecular systems.

We welcome graduate students, researchers, and postdoctoral fellows who are interested in organic synthesis, photochemistry, radical chemistry, catalysis, polymer chemistry, chemical biology, and life-inspired chemistry. Prior experience in a specific field is not essential. We value curiosity, independence, and the motivation to challenge new ideas and grow through research. In our laboratory, each member is encouraged to think independently, ask original questions, design experiments, interpret results, and develop the next step. Together, we aim to create new chemistry beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries.
