Research theme

The relationship between pelvic-girdle pain and physical activity levels in post-partum women.
The postpartum period is a crucial moment for maternal recovery and adaptation, during which many women experience persistent pelvic girdle pain (PGP). This condition can severely impact physical capabilities, daily tasks, social participation, and mental health, leading to increased healthcare needs and absenteeism from work. Given the limited pharmacological options for pain relief in breastfeeding women, it is essential to explore alternative management strategies, such as lifestyle modifications and physical activity.
This study aims to investigate the relationship between different types and levels of physical activities and pelvic girdle pain in postpartum women. The study's findings aim to contribute to the development of effective prevention and management programs for PGP, in order to enhance women’s quality of life.
