シャムさんの弟で，現在，立命館アジア太平洋大学の博士過程に在席しているハッサンが尋ねてくれた．元気そうで，本当によかった．

Mr. Hasan who is a brother with Dr. Shamsuddin and PD student in Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, visited my lab. His visiting gave me a good memory of researching with Dr. Shamsuddin.

The University of Western Australiaの博士課程学生，Howard君（Dr. Greenの研究室）が研究交流と第4回日・豪・中健康科学技術フォーラムに参加するために本研究室を訪問．学部の授業，大学院院生との研究交流を活発に行ってくれた．

Mr. Carter Howard who is PhD course student in The University of Western Australia, visited my lab. and made many exchanges of education and research with our students and staff.  He also attended at the 3rd Australia-China-Japan Symposium on Bioengineering, Biotherapeutics and Health Sciences.

博士課程の天野君，日本学術振興会の博士課特別研究員（平成24年度から）に採択される．

Mr Amano who is doctoral course student has been accepted for DC in The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

10月7日-13日（10th-13th Oct）

Loughborough Universityの博士課程学生，Gerreteさんが研究室を訪問し，講演やパイロット実験をもとに交流を行った．日本人の心に合う学生で，大学院生や学生と多くの交流をしてくれた．

Miss Nicla Gerrete who is doctoral student in Havenith’s Laboratory (Professor of Environmental -Physiology and -Ergonomics, Design School, Loughborough University, UK) visited my lab and spent a time to do a pilot experiment and lecture. She is very kindly and students in my lab had a great exchange time with her.

9月15日−17日（15th-17th Sep）

Eur J Appl Physiolのeditor会議がストックホルムのカロリンスカ研究所で開催され，review systemの改善点などが検討された．また，Dr. Eikenを会うことができた．ストックホルムの歴史ある街を堪能することができた．

I attended editorial meeting of Eur J Appl Physiol at Karolinska Institute in Stockholm with discussing improving review system and so on.  I could meet Dr. Eiken and also see a historical town in Stockholm.

9月16日−18日（16th-18th Sep）

第66回日本体力医学会大会（下関），運動と体温の会にて，天野達郎君が研究成果を発表．

Mr Amano who is doctoral course of graduate school of human development and environment, Kobe Univ attended the 66th annual meeting of Japanese Society of Physical Fitness and Sports Medicine at Shimonoseki (Yamaguchi), and meeting of exercise and body temperature.

7月10日-17日（10th-17th July）

ギリシャで開催されたThe 14th International Conference on Environmental Ergonomics (ICEE2011）に参加した．この会議は環境人間工学を主とする研究者が一箇所に集まり，人との関係も大切にした会議であり，いつも，楽しく参加させてもらっている．この会議では主に次のことがあった．

    1）天野君の口頭発表内容が2位に選ばれた．

    2）招待講演として，研究室の研究成果を発表．

    3）第17回大会が神戸で開催されることになった．

学会期間中，歴史的に有名な多くの場所を訪れることができた．

After the 16th annual congress of the European College of Sport Science in Liverpool, we moved to the 14th International Conference on Environmental Ergonomics (ICEE2011) in Greece. In this meeting, there were things as follows:

    1) Mr Amano received 2nd place of oral presentation for young investigate awards.

    2) We presented our research as invited speaker.

    3) It was recognized that the 17th of this meeting will be held at Kobe, Japan (chair. N Kondo).

During this conference, we could visit many historical places in Greece.

7月8日（8th July）

University of Leedsとの共同セミナーに，筑波大学の西保先生研究室の大学院生と参加した．リバプールから電車で1時間ほどのところにあり，歴史がある街だった．このセミナーはUKのBiotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Councilの助成を得たもので，リーズ大学のRossiter先生と神戸芸術工科大学の古賀先生が中心に，The Systems Biology of Exercise，というテーマで申請され，採択されたものである．今回はUniversity of Leeds・筑波大学・神戸大学の大学院生がこのテーマでの研究交流を行った．大変，有意義な内容だった．

We also attended a collaborative seminar of integrated physiology at The University of Leeds with Dr. Nishiyasu’s lab members. This seminar has been supported by a grant of “Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council” in which Dr. Rossiter and Dr. Koga are main contributors. We had a great exchange program.

7月5日-9日（5th-9th July)

We attended the 16th annual congress of the European College of Sport Science in Liverpool (UK). I have felt that this conference is more friendly relative to ACSM. There are many researches about effects of pre-cooling on the sports performance in thermoregulatory area.

6月13日・14日（13rd−14th June）

Dr. Taylor (University of Wollongong) visited our laboratory to discuss sweat control mechanisms on the way to discussing it with Dr. Inoue (Osaka International University) after he attended at annual meeting of Japan Society of Physiological Anthropology in Fukuoka (Chair was Dr. Tochihara). We had a good time with discussing our common issues.

天野君の論文がJ Appl Physiolに採択される

A paper that Mr Amano has submitted was accepted. Congratulations.

日産自動車と今年度の共同研究について打合せを．これまでの研究内容に新たなポイントを加え，今年度も共同研究継続の合意を行った．

Our laboratory has signed the collaborative research with Nissan for investigating environment of interior of car.

研究室が関係している，研究科の健康増進プロジェクトのHPが開設．このプロジェクトでは本研究科らしい健康増進支援ができないのかどうかを検討．http://hphde.h.kobe-u.ac.jp/

Home Page about the project of support for health promoting has been activated. This project is one of the research project in the Graduate School of Human Development and Environment, Kobe University and focuses on the health support based on the interaction research between human and environment.

化粧品のニベアブランドで知られている，ドイツのバイヤスドルフ（Beiersdorf）社（ハンブルグ）で，今年度の共同研究の中間報告を行った．新しい制汗剤の効果を従来のものと比較し，今年後半の共同研究内容を検討．この会社の研究所の研究員，Dr. Stefanが研究室のPDだったDr. Shamsuddinの論文に興味を持ってくれ，2008年にコンタクトがあった．ニベア花王の研究所（井上所長）の助けをかり，2009年から共同研究が続いている．今回，会合の合間に，歴史的な地，ベルリンへ連れて行ってもらった．東西を分断していた壁がなくなった時のことを思い出すと，何か複雑な印象だった（写真：ブランデンブルク門）．

I visited Beiersdorf AG at Hamburg (Germany) to report a result of collaborative research of anti-perspiration issue. This company is very famous as cosmetic  brand of “Nivea”. During staying, researchers in this company took me to city of Berlin. I felt something because there was a wall that separated East and West Berlin (Brandenburger Gate).

卒業式と修了式．3名の学部生と1名の修士修了者が出ました．これからの各分野での活躍を期待しています．

There was the graduate ceremony for undergraduate and graduate students.  We hope that our member who were graduated from our university would make a good situation in each future.

イギリスのリーズ（Leeds）大学から博士課程の学生，Scott Bowen氏が2月2日から3月20日まで，古賀先生との実験で来日している．彼は，Harry B Rossiter博士 (PhD FACSM, in Lecturer in Exercise Physiology, Institute of Membrane and Systems Biology, University of Leeds, LS2 9JT, UK　http://www.cardiovascular.leeds.ac.uk/staff/Rossiter_H/index.htm)の研究室の学生である．滞在中，学生・大学院生との交流を活発に行ってくれた．帰国前の送別会を．

Mr. Scott who came from University of Leeds in UK (Dr. Rossiter lab) has been researching in our laboratory with Dr. Koga from 2nd of Feb to 20th of March. During his staying, stuff in my laboratory have had a great time with exchange situation. We had a small fairway party.

午後2時46分，東北地方で大きな地震があり，津波による信じられない被害が出た．

What is this big earthquake and tsunami that cause unintended damage to wide area in northeast of Japan main island (Tohoku area).

3月9日 (9th March)

Dr. Craig Crandall (Professor of Internal Medicine, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center of Dallas, Research Scientist in Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas)が1997年以来神戸に，芝崎先生（奈良女子大学）とともに．彼を招へいしたのが，国際交流のスタートであった．お互いに年をとったが，神戸でいい再会ができた．大阪市立大学の岡崎先生と院生にも，会に参加いただいた．

Dr. Crandall visited again our laboratory since 1997. His visiting was a key for starting international research in our laboratory in 1997. We both have gotten age, however, I had a great time again.

1月13日−1月16日 (13th -16th Jan)

オレゴン大学のミンソン先生（Christopher Minson, Associate Professor）が2006年以来，2回目の来日を．筑波大学の体育科学で推進されたいる ”たくましい心を育むスポーツ科学イノベーション” の一環で開催された第10回身心統合科学(BAMIS)セミナー（第10回セミナー（西保）.pdf），温暖化環境へのヒトと社会の「たくましき」適応性，で西保　岳先生が招聘されたものです．筑波でのセミナーの後，神戸に．神戸では，運動トレーニングと順化との関連の発表をお願いした．観光も含め，楽しい時間を過ごした．

Dr. Minson visited our laboratory at the second time since 2006. In this time, Dr. Nishiyasu (Tsukuba University) invited him at 10th BAMIS seminar for “Co-benefit and health problems on global warming. Possibility of exercise training as the countermeasure” at 10th of March, 2011 in Tsukuba University. After this seminar, Dr. Minson visited our laboratory.

ゼミ，送別会を兼ねた慰労会を，いつものように有馬温泉・古泉閣で行った．今年は，コテージでテーブルセッティングを工夫し，ゆっくりと過ごすことができた．今回はイギリスからの来訪者，スコット君も参加．

We stayed at Kossen Kaku in Arima Hot Spring Resort for our member and Mr.Scott. We had a great relax time because we could finally arrange a table in Cottage.
