Sequoia and Sequoiadendron are the tallest and largest trees in the world. Collaborative research on these tree species endeaver to elucidate how tall and large, trees can become and the physiological mechnisms that limit tree growth.

レッドウッドとジャイアントセコイアは世界最大の樹木である．この２種を対象とした樹木の成長限界に関する国際共同研究が行われている．樹木はどこまで高く，大きくなれるのか？その生理学的メカニズムを探る．
